SG Orchids, founded by Mr. Lee Desmond. He started off as a hobbyist in 2011, his love and passion in orchids especially the Phalaenopsis kick off when he started to collect many phals especially those hybrids by the local breeder. In the year 2015, He gathers a few Singapore local growers and started a Facebook page to encourage and gather all phal hobbyist to share their love and technique to grow the phalaenopsis in Singapore climate and at the same time share their growing journey.
As all his babies started to bloom, he realizes his existing plot could not accommodate all his plant anymore and he requires more space now. Things become possible with an opportunity to collaborate with Mr. Willie How from Yee Peng Nursery.
He explained “Singapore is a garden city, he hope he can continue to nurture more people especially our younger generation to continue growing orchids that are planted in the heart of the lion city.
SG Orchids had proved that their hard work paid off by winning a few awards during the Singapore Garden Festival 2016.
