Orchid naming – Vandachostylis Rosita Abdullah Lau. Named after Puan Rosita Abdullah from Terengganu. A book writer of #KulitManis, a taste of Terengganu’s Heritage. Promoting Peranakan heritage and food in Terengganu. She is the first Malaysian to win in the category and the only Malaysian to be nominated in the competition. Kulit Manis beat three other cookbooks from China, Spain and the US to clinch the award.

Lovely ladies from Tanjong Katong Girls School 1962 batch visited our farm and decided to donate the naming of this orchid for fundraising. A group of 10 classmates that keep in touch for more than 55 years and come together to do something meaningful for their old school. More than 55 years(half century) and they are still good friends!
